great staff, but the room was poor, tiny TV mounted in such a way it wasnt viewable from anywhere in the room!
get the TV off the fixed wall mount, its bloody awful !
The proximity to Snowdon and rates were excellent
There was a fire alarm at approx. five am on sat. 16th July .We vacated the building into the pouring rain .There was no contact with staff at all. We had to go to reception where the fire engine was and enquire .We saw two young men talking to two of the fire crew .They went off upstairs with them at which point the man behind the desk told us it was a false alarm. They really need to improve drastically on their fire proceedures .The hotel was apparently full as they had a wedding party and consequences could have been very serious if it had been a real fire.(No check was made to see everyone had vacated) The absence of any form of apology for the inconvience was poor.
Staff member with (dredlocks) was especially helpful to us and very friednly and warm. The keep was WONDERFUL! TELL PEOPLE ABOUT IT!
Rooms though were very noisy with people in corridor late at night and on phone in internal courtyrd at night - so v little sleep for us. Lift slowness also a problem...to many for just one old and small lift.
Location was good,
Main restaurant is far too expensive for the quality and amount of food and could do with being hotter. For woman there is no facility to purchase sanitary wear (very bad)
It was convient for where we wanted to visit
could dom with a bit of a refirbishment
The hotel was very modern an clean. The staff were lovely and really made our stay enjoyable. Ideal for a couple or family. We will definately be staying there again and would highly recommed it.
The position overlooking the town of Llanberis. The facilities, although, we didn't make use of them all, appeared to cater well for visitors.
I appreciate that the hotel was busy but we were unable to get a table for the evening meal on the Saturday because the dining room was fully booked. May I suggest that a notice is placed on the reception desk, when you are busy, suggesting that guests need to book in the morning to ensure getting a table.
the location of the hotel and the view from the resteraunt
reception was good, the location outstanding, bar staff and bar meals were good
breakfast staff were very poor and choice of food was limited. price of a pint was reasonable but shorts were over £5
We were staying overnight following a funeral so did not spend much time in the hotel. Our room was comfortable, clean, well equipped ( we liked the iron and ironing board) and with a pleasant outlook. The staff were all very pleasant and efficient.
Staff was really nice, polite and friendly. I could get any assistance I needed and they where there for me even through out the night.Scenery was just stunning and the location of the hotel was great. I'm a night owl so it was really pleasant when I could get a cup of coffee after 2AM and also night receptionist was able to guide me to the nearest 24/7 shop. Also I read a lot of complaints about the rooms being too hot, so why on earth would you not turn down the thermostat or not switch off the heating at all. My stay in the hotel was really enjoyable.
The weather got spoiled by a heavy rain, though it's in no way has anything to do with the hotel. Couple of the light bulbs weren't working so I called maintenance man who replaced them in no time.
The location of the hotel was the primary reason for chosing it as we were planning to climb Snowdon, which could be esily accesed from the hotel. The rooms were also very warm which given the weather was a big plus.
The hotel was clearly in a rather neglected state and in need of some modernisation. The staff were very unhelpful at times and were not prepared to discuss or listen to our needs.
Large comfortable room, good food, friendly helpful staff.Good location with superb views.Good Indian restaurant in nearby Llanberis.
The legacy hotel served as a comfortable and friendly base to return to after a day up a mountain, exploring a castle or walking along beautiful stretches of coastline. The staff were extremely friendly and coped well with the heavy snow that fell during our visit whilst the rest of the country ground to a halt!
The bedroom was clean and had great views but the mattress on the bed needed replacing!
The location of the hotel is amazing and the staff are the friendliest we have ever come across.
